PawMatch, a local nonprofit that brings animals from rural shelters where they will almost certainly be killed to adoption sites throughout Austin, is opening a new facility in Elroy, Texas. At the new site, they will be able to hold animals who are awaiting adoption or waiting to pass health screening periods. These pictures were taken at an open house held April 1st, a mere three weeks after they moved onto the site. PawMatch has adopted almost 5,000 animals in the year-and-a-half they have been in operation. By opening their own facility they hope to address most of the criticism they have received from other groups. They need donations of money, labor, or materials to finish their new facility. To help out, email Lori Ricci-Sioson or call 619.9679. Visit www.pawmatch.org for more information.
